FAQs
The size of cake you need will depend on the number of portions you require and also the design you would like to achieve. Some designs need more cake to work well than others. Please contact me to discuss your requirements or you can click here to see my Portion Guide.
All of my cakes are unique and designed solely with the customer in mind. I strive for perfection with every single commission, regardless of size or style! My designs are bespoke and the cakes not only look fantastic but taste pretty amazing too!
All your ideas and inspiration are taken on board, and incorporated into something wonderful. After the design is agreed, I get to work making your dream cake come to life. You can rest assured that Abby’s Cakes will deliver the cake you requested, safe and sound to your chosen venue.
At the very least please let us know the date, the area of delivery, and the number of servings you require for your cake. This enables us to give you a more accurate quote.
Please also let us know your design ideas for your cake. Do feel free to send a couple of photos of cakes or anything else that inspires you.
MY BAKES ARE ALL-NATURAL, MEANING NO ARTIFICIAL COLOURS OR PRESERVATIVES.
Cakes can keep fresh for up to 3 days.
1) If you are not eating your cake the same day, pop it in a fridge or a cool place to keep it fresh for as long as possible.
2) Don’t leave it in direct heat or sunlight, the buttercream will melt!
3) If chilled, remove the cake from the fridge 3* hours before you wish to serve it. This is to bring it to room temperature. We never recommend eating cake straight from the fridge!
*Time may vary depending on how warm your room is.
4) When transporting, keep it flat and secure, not on the seat of the car, for example.
If your order is being delivered to an address that isn’t yours, or someone else is receiving the cake, please make sure that they are aware they are receiving a delivery within your nominated time window.
Yes! I can create your own personalised cake, just send me a photo of what you’d like on the cake.
All of my cakes are currently baked in the same kitchen. I do a full clean down of the kitchen between baking any gluten free or vegan cakes to minimise the risk of cross contamination.
Although I do all I can to minimise the risk of cross contamination I cannot guarantee this.
Abby’s Cakes are packaged in secure and robust packaging. The inner box is wrapped around the cake to securely hold it in place so the sides and top do not get damaged in transit.
